Building a more equitable society where no one is left behind
SCDC is a local NGO empowering women, youth, people with disabilities and marginalized groups across Nawalparasi, Nepal. For over 25 years, we’ve partnered locally to promote education, health, livelihoods and climate resilience.

Empowering the Marginalized
At SCDC, we work to uplift women, youth, people with disabilities, and marginalized groups by equipping them with skills, confidence, and a voice in society.
We focus on those often left behind — women, youth, people with disabilities and ethnic minorities — helping them lead and shape their future.
Through leadership training, awareness programs, and inclusive community projects, we help ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate, lead, and thrive—no matter their background or circumstance.
Driven by Local Partnership
Our work is rooted in community participation and collaboration with local governments, schools and groups — ensuring sustainable and locally owned results.
SCDC believes sustainable change begins within the community itself.
We collaborate closely with local municipalities, schools, cooperatives, and grassroots groups to identify real needs and co-create practical solutions.
This partnership-driven model ensures that every project is culturally relevant, locally owned, and continues to make an impact long after it starts.

Integrated Programs for Real Change
From vocational training to adult literacy, health camps, WASH initiatives and climate adaptation — our programs holistically address poverty and inequality.
Our programs address the many sides of poverty and exclusion—from vocational training and adult literacy to health camps, WASH initiatives, climate adaptation, and livelihood support.
By working across these interconnected areas, SCDC empowers communities to build resilience, improve quality of life, and create brighter futures for generations to come.
